EHO Continues to Bridge the Gap in Supporting Vulnerable Refugees in Tigray

In March 2024, the Eritrean Humanitarian Organization (EHO) took another heartfelt step in its mission to support vulnerable refugees in the war-stricken region of Tigray. With the absence of UNHCR and UNICEF leaving a significant gap in humanitarian aid, EHO has been tirelessly committed to providing life-saving support to those most in need.

On March 27, 2024, we proudly completed the first donation instalment of USD 2,000 for Project No. 002-24, in partnership with our dedicated partner DAERO. This milestone includes comprehensive reports, pictures, and videos highlighting our efforts to assist 67 household heads, encompassing a total of 185 family members from vulnerable Eritrean refugee families in Tigray, particularly in Adi-Grat and Kuha.

These families represent some of the most vulnerable populations, including those with severe health issues, mothers with young children, and individuals living with disabilities. EHO’s support has been instrumental in providing essential life-saving aid, offering a beacon of hope and stability to those facing unimaginable challenges in this conflict-ravaged area.

As we continue our mission, we remain deeply committed to filling the gaps left by larger organizations and ensuring that these vulnerable refugees receive the care and assistance they so desperately need. EHO will persist in its efforts, with the hope that our work will bring comfort, relief, and a renewed sense of hope to the lives of those we serve.
