Hope in Hardship: Supporting Eritrean Refugees in Shire, Tigray
In the conflict-stricken region of Shire, Tigray, where thousands of Eritrean refugees remain displaced and overlooked, EHO has stepped in with direct, grassroots action. Our dedicated staff on the ground have delivered vital support to some of the most vulnerable—single mothers and elderly Eritrean heads of families—who now shoulder the responsibility of caring for over 200 refugee households in urgent need.
Led by Compassion, Delivered by Us
This initiative was executed entirely by EHO staff, ensuring transparency, speed, and impact. The support provided life-saving food essentials, hygiene items, and emergency aid prioritised for elderly caregivers, mothers with young children, and individuals with health concerns. The team travelled from Addis abeba and Mekelle and worked tirelessly to ensure that each donation reached those who needed it most.
